CBS News’ editor-in-chief Bari Weiss is plotting to revamp the network’s editorial rulebook as backlash over her decision to shelve a 60 Minutes segment continues. Weiss, 41, is planning a broad overhaul of the network’s standards and procedures,
The 60 Minutes correspondent who worked on the segment alleged in an internal email that pulling it from airing was “not an editorial decision, it is a political one."

CBS pulled a "60 Minutes" segment hours before it was set to air on Dec. 21, a move that has apparently sparked backlash from its correspondent. The segment was set to feature the notorious El Salvador prison CECOT.
Several veteran correspondents questioned how Ms. Weiss, the new CBS News editor in chief, had handled the segment, after she defended her decision on a call with the newsroom.
