One man turned a global skyscraper into his most dangerous destination of all: 'Pretty surreal'
Climber Alex Honnold of the U.S. triumphed over the bamboo boxes in Taiwan this weekend when he made his dream of climbing Taipei 101 a reality of extreme travel.
Netflix's "Skycraper Live" went off without a hitch, as professional rock climber Alex Honnold successfully climbed one of the tallest buildings in the world without ropes or a safety net. He conquered the unprecedented climb in under two hours as a global audience watched with bated breath.
"I’m just trying to stay calm and be in the moment," said Sanni McCandless, who has two children with Honnold
Netflix's much-hyped Skyscraper Live won’t be going live tonight from Taiwan’s capital due to Mother Nature. “Due to weather, we are unable to proceed with today's SkyscraperLIVE event,” a spokesperson for the streatmer said with just 30 minutes to go before the whole shibang was set to start.
