Open Days help people get their lives in order. The Department of Justice’s Aboriginal Open Days are a culturally safe one-stop-shop for essential official documentation and services where people can gain driver's licences, WA Photo Cards, birth certificates, and Medicare and concession cards, as well as resolve fines and access benefits and legal advice. The program recently received a special commendation at this years’ Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) WA Achievement Awards
